On 20 October 2025, the partners of the Erasmus+ project “Active Seniors: Training and Support for an Adapted and Fulfilling Professional Life” (project number KA210-ADU-6515DB4E) met online for the official kick-off meeting.

This first gathering aimed to structure the organisation of the project, define everyone’s roles, and establish a shared work schedule.

A Collaborative Start :

The meeting was opened by Christophe, the project coordinator, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of this initial phase. Each partner – from Italy, France, and Sicily – introduced themselves and explained their role within the project.

Clarifying objectives and timeline :

The partners reviewed together:

  • the main objectives of the project,

  • the planned activities,

  • the expected results,

  • and the key deadlines.

It was confirmed that:

  • the mobility in Sicily will take place in May,

  • the mobility in France in June,

  • and the training sessions will run from January to April, at a rate of 2 hours per month at each site.

This shared overview ensures a common vision and a coordinated progression among all project stakeholders..

Distribution of Roles and Responsibilities :

To guarantee smooth management, each partner’s responsibilities were reiterated:

  • implementation of educational activities,

  • monthly reporting,

  • co-construction of deliverables,

  • monitoring the progress of the project.

Every organisation now knows clearly what it must deliver and within which timeframe.

Project Communication and Management :

Internal communication will take place mainly through:

  • WhatsApp group,

  • email,

  • and a shared Google Drive workspace dedicated to document exchange.

Coordination meetings will be held on the 20th of each month at 14:00 whenever possible. The next meeting is scheduled for 20 November at 13:30.

Budget and Financial Rules :

A reminder of the Erasmus+ funding rules was provided, including:

  • cost categories,

  • eligible expenses,

  • documentation requirements,

  • and deadlines for financial reporting.

All partners must keep complete records to meet audit requirements.

Dissemination Strategy and Impact :

A significant part of the meeting focused on the project’s communication strategy. Roles were assigned as follows:

  • Christophe: creation of the logo and graphic elements.

  • Chiara: management of Facebook and Instagram pages, local communication in Italian, creation of English content.

  • Lisa: development and ongoing updates of the project website.

  • All partners: regular provision of materials for dissemination.

This strategy aims to ensure strong visibility for the project among the public and key stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management

Internal monitoring, proofreading, and evaluation mechanisms were introduced. The main risks—such as budget constraints or planning adjustments—were identified, with appropriate mitigation strategies.

Next Steps :

Several actions were planned before the next meeting, including:

  • signing the partnership agreement,

  • creating the project logo,

  • launching social media pages,

  • publishing the website,

  • translating documents,

  • continuously feeding communication channels.

This kick-off meeting marks a key milestone for the Active Seniors project. It has helped establish solid foundations, clarify collaboration among partners, and organise the upcoming steps.

Thanks to this European coordination, the project can now progress confidently towards its objectives: offering seniors adapted training pathways, strengthening their skills, and promoting a more fulfilling professional life.
