On Thursday, September 24, we brought together participants, trainers and people interested in senior employment for an online webinar to close the European Active Seniors project.

A European cooperation

Active Seniors is a Franco-Italian cooperation project carried out under the Erasmus+ programme, between Alpes Secrétariat in France and LLL4EU in Italy. It is built around three key areas:

  • Promoting mobility and skills development

  • Strengthening cooperation and innovation

  • Supporting European policies and priorities

A chance to take stock

The webinar looked back at all the activities carried out, with the trainers in attendance:

  • Four training modules and one online workshop to support people over 55 in finding employment or launching their own coaching or training activity, delivered in person with the option of following remotely.

  • The creation of digital and printed communication materials, needed for the project’s rollout and visibility.

  • The exchanges between France and Italy.

Meetings in Bagheria and Annemasse

The project was built through collaboration between the French and Italian teams, both remotely and on site. A French delegation travelled to Bagheria to see the training sessions run by the Italian team, and an Italian delegation came to Annemasse to take part in workshops and working sessions. These visits fostered better mutual understanding and enriched the practices of both teams.

Participants share their experience

The highlight of the webinar was the screening of the video made by the training participants. In it, they share what the programme gave them: new knowledge, practical tools, new connections and fresh momentum for their professional plans.

Thank you all

A big thank you to the training participants, the trainers, our partners and everyone who joined online. As we have said from the start: “It is never too late to learn, share and reinvent yourself.”
